WFSB Reporter Ayah Galal Cuts Report Short, Helps Man Who Had Been Stabbed

By Kevin Eck

WFSB Hartford bureau chief Ayah Galal left viewers of the CBS affiliate wondering what was going on after her live report on yesterday’s 4 p,m. newscast was cut short.

Galal’s story was the lead in the newscast. During a VO about a double shooting, she quickly tossed back to the anchors on set.

Galal took to social media to explain what happened.

For those wondering why my 4pm report on WFSB – Channel 3 Eyewitness News ended abruptly, here is an update,” she wrote on Facebook. “My photographer and I were live by New Britain Superior Court when a disoriented man came up to us. He repeatedly told us he had been stabbed and his arm was covered in blood. We were able to call 911 and first responders quickly came and helped him. Fortunately, my photographer and I are okay.”

There’s no word on the condition of the stabbing victim.
