She’s been a staple on WFSB‘s morning show, waking up viewers since 2005.
But Irene O’Connor‘s role with the station is changing.
She announced she’ll move from full-time to freelance for the CBS station in Hartford, Conn.
“My big announcement: I made the decision to change my role here at Channel 3. I will be leaving the morning show and doing free-lance work at the station. My sons just turned 10 and need my attention more than ever. I will miss my TV family and the viewers dearly,” she said on Twitter.
It’s not clear what O’Connor will be doing for the station in her new role. Her last day will be May 31.
