WFRV-WJMN President-GM Plans to Retire as Nexstar Takes Over

By Andrew Gauthier

WFRVWJMN president and general manager Perry Kidder, who has been with the Wisconsin-Michigan partner stations since 1974, announced that he will retire as soon as Nexstar Broadcasting‘s acquisition of the stations is finalized (WFRV report above).

“After 40 years in the business and 37 with this company, I made this thoughtful decision to retire,” Kidder said. “I am particularly gratified and honored to have worked with the talented and wonderful people at Channel 5 and Channel 3.”

WFRV (channel 5) is a CBS-affiliate based in Green Bay, WI and WJMN (channel 3) is run as its semi-satellite in Michigan’s Central Upper Peninsula. In April, Nexstar inked a deal to acquire the two stations from Liberty Media Corporation for $20 million.
