WFAA Marketing Director Heads to KUSA

KUSA, the Tegna station in Denver, Co., has named Blair Nelson as the new director of marketing and branding.

In her new role, Nelson will collaborate with the station’s management on integrated marketing planning and strategy, fostering partnerships and creating multi platform campaigns connecting KUSA with its audience.

“Blair is an energetic leader and creative brand builder,” said Steve Carter, president and general manager, KUSA. “She’s a transformational thinker who will help us position and strengthen the 9NEWS brand and influence our strategic thinking moving forward.”

She will begin her new role on Oct. 15.

Nelson is an Emmy-award winning brand manager who comes to Denver from the Tegna owned station at WFAA in Dallas, Tex., where she helped lead an internal strategic brand initiative across the station.
