WFAA Hires Managing Editor of The Dallas Morning News as Assistant ND

WFAA_304x200George Rodrigue, managing editor of The Dallas Morning News, has been named assistant news director for Dallas ABC affiliate WFAA.

WFAA news director Carolyn Mungo told TVSpy, Rodrigue will start at WFAA next Thursday.

Rodrigue originally started at The News in 1983. According to his LinkedIn page, before coming back to The News in 2004, he worked for Belo supervising print and broadcast journalists as VP of its Washington Bureau from 2001 until 2004. He had also worked at The Press-Enterprise in Riverside, Calif. after first leaving The Dallas Morning News in 1998.
