After being off the air, WOWK anchor Merrily McAuliffe says that she had the coronavirus—but she’s OK.
In a Facebook post, the Charleston-Huntington, W.Va., anchor said that she has been home since testing positive for Covid-19.
“As some of you know, I tested positive for Covid-19,” McAuliffe wrote. “I’ve been home recovering. Everyone has been so kind during this strange time, and I thank you for that support.”
McAuliffe anchors the morning shows for the Nexstar station. She started there in 2014.
The anchor didn’t go into much detail about her symptoms or how she got sick. She last posted on social media July 1.
