WESH reporter Tony Atkins was called out by his station for dropping his mic and carrying a local nurse to safety while reporting about Hurricane Ian.
The Orlando NBC affiliate posted a nat sound video showing Atkins helping the woman escape her flooded car and carrying her to safety.
“WAY TO GO!” the station wrote on social media. “She is a nurse and she was on her way to work when her vehicle became stuck in high water.”

“Really glad that woman is okay!” Atkins wrote on Facebook. “Please stay safe!”
