Tina Stein is leaving Evansville, Ind. ABC and CW affiliate WEHT-WTVW.

“Tina is leaving our Eyewitness News Team to pursue professional opportunities closer to her extended families outside of the Evansville region,” co-anchor Brad Byrd wrote on his Facebook page. “I wish my friend and her family the best.”

Stein announced in January she was expecting her second child and was taking a break from the 10 p.m. newscast. On Wednesday, July 27, she told WEHT viewers she was leaving the station.

She started working at WEHT-WTVW in September 2013. She worked at WIFR in Rockford, Illinois before that.
