WJLA has hired a new chief meteorologist. Bill Kelly comes from WSYX the Sinclair-owned station in Columbus, Ohio.

“Bill is truly one of the best, most informative TV meteorologists in America,” said ABC7 news Mitch Jacob. “He will be a terrific addition to our robust StormWatch7 Weather Team.”

Kelly is known for his Weather On The Go segments. In 2015, TVSpy did a story when he used a golf course as a green screen for his forecast.
