WDVM, the independent Nexstar station in Hagerstown, Md., has a new general manager.

Andrew Wyatt will replace Hugh Breslin, who announced his retirement in June after four decades.

Wyatt comes from Augusta, Ga., where he served as general manager of WFXG, the Fox affiliate in the market. During his time there, Wyatt increased broadcast and digital revenue. Prior to that, he was vice president and general manager of KSWT-TV in Yuma, Ariz., for seven years.

“Andrew has the leadership qualities we seek for this important position and we have great confidence in his ability to build upon the legacy of achievements that Hugh Breslin was able to accomplish during his four-decade long career at WDVM-TV and LocalDVM.com,” said Theresa Underwood, senior vice president and regional manager of Nexstar Media Group.

Wyatt earned his bachelor’s degree in telecommunications from the University of Kentucky. He begins his new role immediately.
