New Orleans’ NBC-affiliate, WDSU, has entered into a content-sharing agreement with NOLA.com. The new arrangement took effect Friday.

WDSU, which will maintain independent management and operations, will provide news video and live streams through a Flash player on the NOLA site. The site will also feature investigative reports and “On Call” health segments from WDSU’s news team.

“We are proud to team up with NOLA.com, an organization that shares our commitment to the greater New Orleans area,” said WDSU President and GM Joel Vilmenay. “With the best television Web site in Southeast Louisiana, our collaboration with NOLA.com will enable online users to benefit from an enhanced presentation of timely news and entertainment content.”

“Our affiliation with a dynamic local news and information provider with an extensive collection of breaking news, sports and weather video clips gives us a great opportunity to continue to enhance the experience of our online community,” said Mark Rose, GM of NOLA.com.
