WCPO Wins 6 Regional Emmy Awards

WCPO, the Scripps-owned station in Cinnincati, took home the most regional Emmy Awards in the market.

The station won six regional Emmys this past weekend.

“I’m very proud of our entire team and the journalism we produce for television viewers and digital consumers every day. It’s such a great thrill for the WCPO family to celebrate these awards with our colleagues who won them,” said news director Chip Mahaney.

The winners included:

“Policing Their Own,” a report on police accountability that followed a six-month investigation. The investigative team was led by Craig Cheatham and included Dan Monk, Lot Tan, Scott Wegener and Joe Rosemeyer.

Tanya O’Rourke and Kristyn Hartman – Overall Excellence News Anchors

“9 on Your Side at 11 at 11PM” – Best Evening Newscast.

Military Category – News Award

Editor-Short Form – Promotion Manager Paul Harper for a compilation of station promotions.
