Alex Bongiorno has been named news director for E.W. Scripps’ Cincinnati ABC affiliate WCPO.
“Alex has a passion for journalism and has a proven track record of being a strong leader that gets results,” Jeff Brogan, vice president and general manager of WCPO said in a statement. “She’s a natural fit for our newsroom, having an excellent understanding of the digital and broadcast audiences.”
Bongiorno last worked for WTAE in Pittsburgh. She left the Hearst owned station in October after three years there. She has also worked as news director and executive producer at WSPA in Spartanburg, SC
