WCCO Weekend Morning Anchor Leaving

By Kevin Eck

Natalie Nyhus says she’s leaving Minneapolis CBS-owned station WCCO.

“I have some news to share. Saturday will be my last day with WCCO as I’ve decided to take on my next and most important job – motherhood!” she wrote on her Facebook page. “It’s been a fulfilling six years in the community and on air, and I’m grateful for all of the support I’ve received from my WCCO family. It was a tough decision to leave a place I love, but I’m so looking forward spending more time with my husband and daughter and exploring some creative aspirations that I’m sure will make it onto social media in some way. A heartfelt and sincere thank you to those who have watched!”

Nyhus started at WCCO in January 2011. She also still does work for the Big Ten Network, where she started her on-air career.
