WCCO Morning Anchor Jamie Yuccas Leaving for CBS

By Mark Joyella

Jamie Yuccas, a morning anchor at CBS-owned WCCO in Minneapolis, is leaving the station for CBS Newspath, where she will be a correspondent.

“We wish the best for her; it’s something she’s always wanted to do,” said WCCO news director Mike Caputa, who told the Pioneer Press Yuccas’ last day as morning anchor was today, but her final day at the station had not been determined:

Replacing Yuccas in the mornings starting Monday will be Kim Johnson, who is also originally from Maple Grove. Johnson, who’ll be joining Jason DeRusha on the morning anchor desk, currently reports on traffic conditions in the morning and has also filled in for Yuccas and DeRusha. Taking over for Johnson will be Ali Lucia.
