WCBS, the CBS station in New York, has added Mark Peters as an urban affairs expert.

Peters doesn’t have a broadcast background. He joins the station after serving as New York’s commissioner of the Department of Investigation from 2014-2018. In that role, he oversaw a 700-person law enforcement agency responsible for investigating fraud and corruption by city agencies, workers and contractors.

“We are very pleased that we will be able to have Mark Peters share his expertise on urban affairs and government with our viewers,” WCBS vice president and news David Friend said.
