WCAU, WWSI Will Relocate to New Comcast Skyscraper in Philly

comcast tower phillyComcast Corp. has announced the construction of a new skyscraper in Philadelphia that will be home to up to 4,000 employees, including the newsrooms and studios of NBC’s WCAU and Telemundo’s WWSI.

The 59-story Comcast Innovation and Technology Center will be located at 1800 Arch St. Construction is set to begin this summer and to be completed by the end of 2017.

WCAU’s relocation to the new building will be its first move in 62 years. WWSI, the Telemundo station recently acquired by NBC Universal, will also move into the building. Both stations are currently located on City Line Avenue in Bala Cynwyd.

“There won’t be any other television station like it in the country,” Comcast executive vice president David Cohen said in a statement.
