Boston CBS-owned station WBZ has named Kate Merrill morning and Noon anchor.
“Kate’s experience and expertise, along with her passion and understanding of Boston and its people, makes her a fantastic anchor,” said news director Johnny Green. ”We are thrilled to have Kate assume the role as co-anchor.”
Merrill, who will join Chris McKinnon on the two newscasts, worked at WNBC in New York for a year before joining WBZ in 2004 as a reporter. She’s also worked at WKRN in Nashville and WICZ in Binghamton, N.Y.
