WBTW To Produce Morning Newscast For WFXB

By Merrill Knox

Starting Thursday, CBS-affiliate WBTW will produce a 7 a.m. newscast for Fox-affiliate WFXB in Florence-Myrtle Beach, SC.

Since 2004, WTBW has also produced a 10 p.m. newscast for WFXB. The new morning show will be the only local news programming in the 7 a.m. timeslot in the market.

“Our 10 p.m. broadcast is a big success, so we’re confident we will experience the same with this new newscast,” WBTW director of content David Hart said in a statement. “We are looking forward to delivering more news at a convenient time for the viewers of WFXB.”
