Sandra Torres is joining CBS-owned Chicago station WBBM as a general assignment reporter on Monday, Nov. 30.
This is a return to Chicago for Torres who was born and raised in Colombia and moved to Chicago when she was 13. She’s worked at WCAU as a morning news content producer. Before that, she was a reporter and fill-in weather anchor at WSNS. Torres comes to WBBM from WDJT and Telemundo Wisconsin WYUU in Milwaukee.
“I am thrilled to welcome Sandra back home to Chicago and to the CBS 2 Chicago news team,” said Jeff Kiernan, WBBM vp and news director. “She is adept at all aspects of news production and has proven herself to be a terrific reporter.”
