Baltimore NBC affiliate WBAL has hired Andre Hepkins as 5:30 p.m. anchor alongside Donna Hamilton. Hepkins will also co-anchor the 10 p.m. newscast with Deborah Weiner, and report from the breaking news desk during the station’s 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts.
“Andre’s vast experience as a leading talent makes him the perfect complement to Donna Hamilton and Stan Stovall,” said WBAL general manager Dan Joerres.
Hepkins joins WBAL from CBS affiliate KMOV in St. Louis, where he was a morning anchor. He previously reported at WSVN in Miami, WNYW in New York, and WFSB in Hartford.
