WB Expects Cooper Distribution Deals by Thanksgiving

Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution will begin making appointments today with major TV station groups to pitch a first-run talk show with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, confident it will strike the distribution deals necessary for the planned launch in the fall of 2011.

“Everyone will have an opportunity to make an assessment about this project,” says Ken Werner, president of WBDTD. “I believe that will be a deliberate process that will take five, six or seven weeks. But theres no rush because this is a unique opportunity.”

WBDTD will be asking for cash from the broadcasters, but giving up some of the ad inventory. More…
