Kayla Strayer, a multimedia journalist at Knoxville ABC affiliate WATE, had a busy weekend. She wasn’t working, but was competing in the Miss Tennessee pageant. “So happy I was there, coming away with new friends and memories” she said on Twitter afterwards.
WATE reports Strayer represented Knox county at the pageant Saturday in Clarksville where Miss Greater Nashville, Kiara Young, took home the crown. She’s a Tennessee Titans cheerleader studying to be a doctor.
