Washington, D.C. Station Adds Reporter from Atlanta

Jodie Fleischer is joining Washington, D.C. NBC-owned station WRC as an investigative reporter at the end of March.

Fleischer comes from WSB in Atlanta.

“Her stories have led to laws being changed in the state of Georgia,” WRC news director Mike Goldrick told staff. “Her work has received recognition from her peers in our business, including more than a dozen Regional Emmy Awards and the prestigious Alfred I. DuPont award from Columbia University, one of the highest honors in broadcasting.”

Before WSB, Fleischer worked at WFTV in Orlando, WSPA in Spartanburg and WLTX in Columbia, S.C. She started at WSB in 2007.
