Washington, D.C., Anchor Says He’s Cancer Free

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

Back in April, TVSpy reported on WUSA anchor Bruce Johnson’s announcement that he was battling cancer.

Yesterday the legendary Washington, D.C. broadcaster posted an update on social media, saying that he is now cancer-free.

“Lymphoma Update. I’m now cancer free! The PET scan came back negative. I can’t thank each of you enough for the prayers, love and support. To all the other cancer survivors who reached out, You Rock! Count me in!”

Johnson stepped down in April to get treatment, and has been updating viewers on Facebook throughout his journey. He’s still on leave from his anchoring duties at WUSA.
