WAPT GM to Retire

By Kevin Eck

WAPT president and gm Stuart Kellogg is retiring at the end of 2015.

Kellogg has been gm of the Jackson, Miss. ABC affiliate since 1991. He started his career as a weathercaster at WNYS in Syracuse. He came to WAPT after working as news director at KXAS in Dallas. Before that, he was news director at KFOR in Oklahoma City before working in management at stations in New Orleans and Mobile.

“Working for Hearst Television and with the professionals at WAPT are the highlights of my 40 years in TV,” said Kellogg. “I will dearly miss the men and women who work so hard to serve our viewers. I’m excited, however, to start a new chapter. I’ll be working with various ministries, writing and collaborating on projects with my wife Beth, who has been my rock.”
