Decatur, IL, NBC affiliate WAND announced today it was making Marianne Manko a permanent anchor for the 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. newscasts.
WAND news director Tai Takahashi said in a statement, “She has done a great job as interim anchor here and has proven herself to be a tremendous asset to the team.”
Before coming to WAND, Manko worked at KRGV in Weslaco, TX. She has also worked as a reporter in Orlando.

The station also announced beginning Monday, January 27, the Noon news will expand to an hour. Samantha Singer will continue to anchor the show.
