WABC Still Searching for Bill Evans’s Replacement

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

It’s been a month since meteorologist Bill Evans suddenly disappeared from WABC in the mornings.

The popular weatherman had been delivering news on the ABC flagship in New York since 1989. Now, he’s doing the weather on a local radio station on WLNG. It’s a Long Island, N.Y., station that his wife, Sandra Foschi, bought in October 2018, according to Radio and Television Business Report.

As for WABC, the station’s vice president and news director, Chad Matthews, told TVSpy that there is a search underway for Evans’s replacement.

We reached out to Evans to discuss his new role but haven’t heard back.
