WABC AM Anchor Ken Rosato Fired for Alleged Hot Mic Comment

By Kevin Eck

Longtime WABC morning anchor Ken Rosato has been fired after allegedly making an off-color remark that was caught on a hot mic.

It’s unclear what Rosato said or when exactly he made the comment. One source told Page Six said Rosato was fired for cause immediately. His co-workers were told of his firing on Friday.

A representative for Rosato responded to rumors the anchor said a racial slur, by saying “Being fired for any racial slur is 100 percent inaccurate and untrue. Ken Rosato had a benchmark of 20 years at WABC of supporting all equality.”

Before joining WABC as a freelancer in 2003, Rosato worked at Fox owned station WNYW.
