WVIR, the NBC station in Charlottesville, Virginia, is reporting that 41-year old Mark Henry Hopper was arrested on child pornography charges. Hopper, according to FTVLive, is a longtime employee at WCAV, the CBS station in the market.

While the station has yet to confirm the arrest, other local outlets are reporting on the incident. According to local police, Hopper was arrested on Feb. 1 in Missouri, and is in the process of being extradited back to Virginia.

The police say they received a complaint from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force last month that a computer in its city limits was being used to upload and download child pornography. Investigators located pieces of electronic equipment during the search of a nearby home, and Hopper allegedly fled the area after the search warrant was issued, per WVIR.
