After a confrontation between an Occupy Portland protester and a KGW news crew was caught on camera and uploaded to YouTube yesterday, the station will limit live shots from the protest to ensure employee safety.
In the above video (warning: expletives are unedited), a protester with a pink bandana over his mouth berates KGW reporter Art Edwards and repeatedly pushes the crew members protecting the reporter.
Last week, Edwards was pushed by a protester in the middle of his live shot. Following that incident, news director Rick Jacobs began sending a third crew member to the protests out of concern for the safety of the KGW staffers.
