Rob Morrison, formerly of WNBC, has landed a job at WCBS, reports the New York Post. Morrison was let go from the New York NBC-affiliate during downsizing in May 2008, along with Jim Rosenfield, Scott Weinberger and Andrew Kirtzman.

At WCBS, Morrison will join Mary Calvi for the Saturday and Sunday morning newscasts, and work as a reporter for three weekday newscasts. He takes over for Cindy Hsu, who had been anchoring weekends and will now return to weekday reporting.

Morrison arrived at WCBS on Monday, and posted the following tweet about his first day: “Wonderful welcome at CBS 2 today. Many familiar faces. Anchoring the 5 pm tomorrow.”
