Veteran KABC Weather Anchor Out

By Kevin Eck

Garth Kemp, longtime weather anchor for Los Angeles ABC-owned station KABC, has resigned.

The move was tweeted on Kemp’s station account and posted on his facebook page. It ended by saying, “We thank him for his 17 years as part of Eyewitness News and wish him well.”

Kemp’s bio is no longer on the KABC site. He started at KABC in 1998 as a weekend weather guy and later moved to weekday mornings.

The last time he made news it was because of the Kardashians. After the morning show teased a story about Kim and Kanye’s newest kid by saying they had a “big announcement” Kemp said, “They all of a sudden got talent? said Kemp. “Just a thought.”

Kris Jenner shot back on her instagram page by writing, ““WOW @ABC7Garth @garthlkemp I thought you were better than this. @kimkardashian is a Producer, Business woman, clothing designer, entrepreneur, mother, and is the creator of her very own social media tsunami even you couldn’t predict. #kanyewest among his many talents has won 21 grammys. #BULLY #USEDTOBEAFAN #BEKIND #DONTJUDGEOTHERS #ABC7 @abc7LA”
