WTNH anchor Rich Coppola has announced that he’s leaving the anchor desk to concentrate on reporting.
Coppola announced the news on Facebook and included a picture with longtime colleague Joe Furey.
“When I auditioned at News8, Stephanie Simoni was my co-anchor … as she has been the last two years,” wrote Coppola, who joined Hartford, Conn.’s WTNH in 2020 after 30 years at Fox affiliate WTIC. “An awesome partner. A wonderful friend. I’ll be leaving the anchor desk to concentrate on reporting. So lucky to call them co-workers! Even luckier to call them friends … ”
