After nearly 20 years anchoring or co-anchoring the 10 p.m. newscast on KXAS-TV (Channel 5), Jane McGarry has left the late-night slot. But McGarry, who will remain with the station she has worked for since 1982, is upbeat about the change to an earlier shift.

The move, which took effect Friday, is part of a shift that will have McGarry co-anchoring the 5 and 6 p.m. newscasts with Mike Snyder, who has been her chief co-anchor since he joined her on the 10 p.m. newscast in 1992, making them the longest-running anchor team in Dallas-Fort Worth.
