Talk about your working vacation. Eric Lupher, a reporter at Denver ABC affiliate KMGH, who was among about four thousand passengers aboard the Carival Magic for a cruise with stops in Belize and Cozumel.

He didn’t see Cozumel, however, after the cruise ship was denied access to the Mexican port amid concerns a passenger onboard the Magic may have been exposed to Ebola. And Lupher was suddenly in the right place at the right time–for a reporter, that is. “I’m on the Carnival ship with the Ebola scare,” he tweeted. “Mexican authorities not allowing us into Cozumel. Heading back to Galveston.”

Lupher returned to port safely, shortly after the all-clear was given aboard the ship:

First thing Lupher did when he was off the ship? An interview, of course, with ABC News.
