For 25 years CBS affiliate KUTV in Salt Lake City has aired local news from 7-8 a.m., delaying the start of the network morning show CBS This Morning.
But beginning Sept. 3, the 7 a.m. hour of local news will air on sister station, KJZZ. According to the Salt Lake Tribune, it was a condition of the Sinclair-owned station’s new affiliate agreement with CBS.
KUTV is also adding an hour of local news at 4 p.m. MT.
