Univision Names EVP of Government Relations

Univision has named Jessica Herrera-Flanigan evp Government Relations and Policy.

Based in Washington, D.C., Herrera-Flanigan will “lead the Company’s federal and state government relations efforts and focus on developing strategies for addressing the key public policy issues impacting the Company and the U.S. Hispanic community.”

“Jessica is a sought-after strategist, well-known for her political acumen and ability to navigate evolving issues at the intersection of politics, policy, media and technology,” said Univison general counsel and evp of Government Relations Jonathan Schwartz. “Her extensive experience in government affairs and public policy, coupled with her deep understanding of the U.S. Hispanic community, perfectly positions her to further extend our mission of informing, empowering, and advocating on behalf of Hispanic America.”

Herrera-Flanigan was a partner at Monument Policy Group before coming to Univision. Before that, she worked as staff director and general counsel for the House Committee on Homeland Security. In addition to holding several posts within the U.S. Government, she has served as president of the Hispanic Bar Association of D.C. and was named one of the 100 Most Influential Hispanics in the United States three times by Hispanic Business Magazine.
