Tyler Lopez has been hired at Peoria, Illinois NBC affiliate WEEK. He’ll join Libby Allison as co-anchor of the 6:00 and 10:00 p.m. newscasts.
Lopez replaces the retired Tom Mcintyre. He comes from KMGH in Denver where he was a fill-in anchor and reporter. He’s also worked at KOAA in Colorado Springs and KDVR in Denver.
“My family and I feel so incredibly fortunate to have this opportunity to make central Illinois home,” said Lopez. “For my wife, this is a homecoming.”
He starts August 3.
