Shiba Russell is out at New York NBC-owned station WNBC, while reporter Brynn Gingras has moved to CNN.
At one time, Russell was a rising star at WNBC, replacing longtime anchor Sue Simmons when she left in 2012, only to be pushed out by Sibila Vargas‘ arrival from Los Angeles in 2014.
Gingras will work at CNN’s New York bureau. She started at WNBC in April 2012 after working at KMIZ in Columbia, Missouri.

Russell came to New York from WCVB in Boston in 2011.
