WNCN, the CBS affiliate in Raleigh, has hired a new morning anchor.
Taniya Wright joins the morning team and will co-anchor the noon show.
“I was immediately impressed with her wit and personality,” said WNCN news director Ed Trauschke upon discovering Wright.

Wright comes from KJRH in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
She had a viral moment in 2016 when she couldn’t contain her laughter after telling a story about beavers.
Wright left the station in July.
