Tucson’s KMSB Hiring for New Morning Show

Forget the recession and all the talk of cutbacks by media companies, they’re about to put the “now hiring” notices up at KMSB Fox 11 in what is one of the most ambitious news department expansions the Tucson TV market has ever seen.

This fall, KMSB will unveil its own four-hour local morning news program, “Fox 11 Daybreak Tucson,” which will air from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. weekday mornings.

To launch the new program, Bob Simone, president and general manager of both KMSB and KTTU 18, said the station is looking to hire a dozen new staffers and an executive news director. More…
