5)  Amanda Meadows, WTVR

A native of North Carolina, Amanda decided that she wanted to work in TV when she was nine, after her aunt took her on a tour of the “Saturday Night Live” set during a visit to New York. According to her Facebook page, Amanda is “awesome.”

4)  Jill Nicolini, WPIX

Jill has been covering traffic for the New York CW-affiliate since 2004. Before becoming a reporter, she worked as a model and actress, appearing in such shows as “Sex and the City” and “Law & Order.” In 2002, Jill won the title of Miss Long Island but was later barred from competing in the Miss New York pageant when contest organizers discovered that she had once posed for Playboy.

3)  Jenni Hogan, KIRO

A University of Washington graduate, Jenni joined KIRO in 2008 and has quickly made a name for herself as a social media maven. She is currently the #1 local TV personality on Twitter, according to Lost Remote, with over 35,000 followers. Jenni is originally from Australia and loves the outdoors–she led the UW rowing team to a national championship while in college.

2)  Jamie Shupak, NY1

Jamie has developed a cult following in New York, where she’s worked as traffic reporter for WNBC and NY1–there’s even a blog dedicated to documenting her elaborate on-air wardrobe. Even though she’s a local icon, Jamie, 29, has been unlucky in love recently. In June, she told the New York Post that she and her fiancé had broken up after 10 years together.

1)  Bob Herzog, WKRC

Bob has been with the Cincinnati ABC-affiliate since 2005 and currently anchors the station’s Saturday morning newscasts in addition to serving as traffic reporter during the week. A local boy, Bob is best known to Cincinnati viewers for his notorious Dance Party Friday tradition (video above).
