Tom Skilling Says He’s OK After Vertigo Scare

By Kevin Eck

WGN meteorologist Tom Skilling had a health scare during Monday night’s 6 p.m. newscast.

Skilling went on Facebook to let everyone know he’s OK after he says he had a bit of vertigo.

Skilling was showing weather pictures from viewers and was about to toss to his seven day forecast when he stopped talking.

Viewers couldn’t see Skilling, since the station was on a weather picture, but they could hear anchor Micah Meterre ask the chief meteorologist if he was OK. She then skipped Skilling’s forecast and tossed directly to sports. Jim Ramsey filled in for him on the late newscast.

“THANK YOU so much for the wonderful messages of concern. I’ll be back soon!” wrote Skilling.
