The recently rebranded Time Warner Cable News NY1 has ended its New Jersey newscast, The Record reports.
“NY1 is a New York City news channel and we never aimed to be an all-New Jersey news channel — such as News 12 — which is able to provide 24/7 coverage strictly about New Jersey,” Nikia Redhead, a spokesperson for NY1, said.
The cancellation of the newscast affects two on-air employees, anchors Jessica Abo and Joanne Santiglia. They will work through the end of their contracts, according to The Record.
