Monica Day will replace Katie Ferrell on the WCMH morning newscast.
Day will co-anchor alongside Matt Barnes while Ferrell will move to the weekends for the Columbus NBC affiliate.
“We’ve always felt very lucky to have Monica as part of our team, “said vp and GM Ken Freedman. “We took a good look, and believe the best position for Monica is in the Monday thru Friday morning anchor seat.”

Day started at WCMH in February 2006 and has been working as the station’s traffic and entertainment reporter. Ferrell replaces Candice Lee, who leaves the station next month.
“We are pleased to have someone with Katie’s strength lead our weekends,” said Freedman. “This new line-up gives Central Ohio and NBC4 viewers strong newscasts every day of the week.”
