By Merrill Knox

This is kind of a big deal: the search for the next Ron Burgundy is on! EPIX and Paramount Pictures are launching a nationwide contest for the next “Anchorman” — and the winner will get to anchor EPIX’s red carpet coverage of the movie’s New York City premiere.

If you think you have what it takes, you can enter in one of two ways: via a 15 second Instagram video uploaded with the hashtag #IAmRonBurgundy, or by visiting one of the local promotion spots taking place in New York, Dallas, Seattle, Los Angeles, St. Louis, Atlanta, Denver, Philly and, of course, San Diego. One finalist will be chosen from the Instagram submissions and nine more will be selected from the in-person auditions, with local anchors in each market making the final picks.
