Telemundo’s KVDA Adds 4:30 PM Newscast

KVDA, the Telemundo station in San Antonio, has added a 4:30 p.m. newscast to its current 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. lineup.

According to MySanAntonio.com, Alex Hernandez will anchor “Noticias 60 Telemundo,” along with meteorologist Lilian Perez and sports anchor Jonathan Solarte. The half-hour show will focus on issues affecting the Spanish-speaking community in the Alamo City.

“Spanish language viewers want and need more news, weather and live local programming,” Manuel Martinez, president of Telemundo Station Group, said in a statement. “We have a responsibility to provide them with the information they need to help them lead better lives.”

“Noticias 60 Telemundo” debuted on Monday.
