José Díaz-Balart will anchor the Telemundo 52 (KVEA) news while he’s in Los Angeles weeks before the June 7 California primaries.

This week, Díaz-Balart will join KVEA anchors Julio Vaquiero and Ana Patricia Candiani at 6 p.m. and then anchor Telemundo’s national newscast Noticiero Telemundo at 6:30 p.m.

“José Díaz-Balart is one of the country’s most versatile and influential journalists,” said Luis Fernández, Telemundo’s evp of Network News. “His credibility transcends the division between local and national, and his presence in Los Angeles will help consolidate our positioning in one of the country’s most important markets.”
