Telemundo Station Expands in Rio Grande Valley

KTLM, the NBC Universal-owned Telemundo station, has expanded its broadcasts. The station has added a new team of anchors to “Noticias Telemundo 40” and has expanded its live news coverage on weekdays at 10:00 p.m. and on weekends at 4:30 and 10:00 p.m.

The Rio Grande Valley station has hired Hugo Magallan as weekday news co-anchor and Elizabeth Robaina as a weather anchor, while promoting Hector Zapata to sports anchor and Ana Cecilia Mendez to weekend anchor.

Magallan previously worked at Univision McAllen, while Robaina comes from WAPA in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The new team has joined “Noticias Telemundo 40” anchor Dalila Garza and “Acceso Total” entertainment reporter Mayra Galvan weekdays at 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

The new anchor team’s first show aired yesterday.
